National Fingerprint (NFp) was registered as an Ohio LLC in December, 2007. CEO David M. Allburn invented this self-printing method in June 2007 while trying to fingerprint groups. He noticed the Packs offered value for printing individuals; on-site convenience, identification certainty, speed and cost. Although development in the fingerprint capture industry is exclusively high-teck, Allburn arranged pantent protection for this low-tech niche method for doing fingerprinting where high-tech capture is not justified. A non-disclosure agreement was created and circulated to provide interim protection against duplication.
The Self Capture Pack has been in continuous use by small pilot groups since early 2008. This refining process affirmed the value proposition and validated product claims. A management team was assembled. A high volume manufacture of kits was selected to build the Packs. An industrial designer, a comunication professional, a legal advisor and a financial consultant were gathered to provide consulting and creative services.
And in late 2009, National Fingerprint Self-Capture Packs have begun to penetrate several important vertical markets.
